EARTH COUNCIL Geneva has no connection with the EARTH COUNCIL ALLIANCE

Earth Council Italia (ECI), based in Naples, helped with raising funds for victims due to the flood in Pakistan.  Between July and August of 2010, Pakistan endured heavy monsoon rains, causing the worst floods in more than 80 years.  ECI normally focuses on education programs and the establishment of an environmental center, and their assistance in this crucial relief for flooding victims is greatly appreciated. The funds were used in connection with our partners IMC to provide help for the needy.

An e-Learning program in chinese language on the subject of Biodiversity was developed and distributed successfully at Wuhan University in the past.

EarthTabs – In 2008 and 2009, Earth Council Geneva helped fund Marine Debris clean-up efforts along the remote shores of Alaska’s Shelikof Strait. Marine debris, besides being visually disturbing, can be lethal to marine mammals and birds, and derelict fishing web can continue to kill for decades. ECG was instrumental in partnering with Earthtabs, a local Alaskan non-profit organization, in both physically removing debris and recycling it, as well as engaging in an educational program for local fishermen and residents.
